ABSTRACT
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus, are the leading causes of premature death both globally and in Indonesia. These diseases often go unnoticed by those affected until serious complications arise, earning them the nickname “Silent Killers.” Based on 2024 data from the Semen Community Health Center and a survey conducted in RW 07, Bogo Hamlet, Bulu Village, Semen Subdistrict, Kediri Regency, the prevalence of hypertension was found to be 27.5%, while diabetes mellitus was 9.4%. The “CINTA SI DIA” program was implemented as a promotive and preventive effort aimed at increasing public knowledge and awareness through health education, demonstrations on the use of family medicinal plants (TOGA), and the distribution of herbal seedlings such as bay leaves, celery, and ginger. The activity used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and involved 20 respondents ranging from adults to the elderly. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge about hypertension and diabetes mellitus, with a p-value < 0.05. This intervention proved effective in supporting promotive and preventive efforts against NCDs based on local potential, while also reinforcing healthy living behaviors that are independent and sustainable within the community.
